Type and cut out strips of sayings that are about 3 ½ inches long

½ C cake flour
4 T sugar
2 T cornstarch  
1/8 t salt

8 T canola oil  
¼ C egg whites

½ C water or more  

Sift together the first four ingredients.   Mix the oil and egg whites and stir into the dry until smooth.  Add the water gradually, mixing thoroughly.  On a lightly greased griddle, pour ~1 T batter into a 3 ½ inch circle.  Cook over low heat until lightly browned about 4 minutes.  Turn over and cook another minute more.  When done, put cookie on a towel, place the fortune in the middle, fold cookie in half, then fold again over the edge of a bowl.  Place shaped cookies in a muffin tin to cool.  Should make 16 cookies.
