8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 C sugar
1/2 c butter
1 3/4 C flour
2 eggs
1/4 C milk
1 ½ t baking powder
1 t baking soda
1/2 t vanilla
1/4 t salt
1/2 C strawberry preserves
powdered sugar
Beat cream cheese, sugar, and butter until fluffy.  Add half of the flour, all of the eggs, milk, baking powder, soda, vanilla, and salt.  Beat about 2 minutes.  Beat in remaining flour until well blended.  Spread evenly in a greased and floured 13 x 9 baking pan or two round 9 inch cake pans.  Spoon jam in dollops on top of the batter.  Swirl in into the batter.  Bake at 350 for 30 - 40 minutes.  Sprinkle powdered sugar on top and serve warm.
