28 oz chicken broth
2 T butter or olive oil
½ t minced fresh garlic
1 ½ t oregano
½ t pepper
1/8 t cayenne
2 C uncooked orzo pasta
1 zucchini, diced
1 green or red pepper, diced
1 C frozen peas
¼ lb diced ham or kielbasa
1/3 C Parmesan
Bring first seven ingredients together in a good sized pot. Boil for 3 minutes. Stir in the next 4 items, reduce to simmer, cover and cook for 7 minutes. Stir in the Parmesan and serve. Serves 6.
