The Rocky Mountains are known for being, well, rocky... but we also have an abundance of wildlife, wildflowers, and wild adventures. At Latigo, surrounded on three sides by national forest and bordered by private land on the fourth, we are practically untouched by much of the modernization happening down on the Eastern Plains of Colorado. No urban sprawl. No pollution. No problems. And so. many. wildflowers.
They come up in the snow.
They come up in the sun.
And they come out right when we need them most.
Whether it's riding through fields of Columbine flowers or picking sunny dandelions in the playground to make a flower-crown for your five-year-old, Latigo has it all. Hannah and Spencer are both avid photographers, and the Pasque flowers every spring and the Lupine fields every midsummer are particular favorites. If you ask about it during the week, Spencer will take you out for a sunrise shoot to the prettiest spots, but you don't need a special outing to enjoy the pristine seclusion of Latigo's most spectacular flora.
