The article on Forbs.com by Allison Olmstead kicks off her article, "America's Best Dude Ranches With Women's Programs And Events" with a fantastic summary of why dude ranches are the best vacations out there: "There is something very compelling about the North American West, and dude ranches are very popular with vacationers - whether you have experience with horses or not. They usually offer tons of sporting activities, delicious food, a great opportunity to play outside in beautiful country - and a chance to use those cool cowboy boots for what they are actually meant to do. Guest ranches run the gamut from working to ultra-luxury, and activities and amenities can include everything from fishing, hiking and mountain biking to spas, photography, cooking classes, yoga and of course, equestrian pursuits."
Not only did Latigo make the list for their glorious compilation of other guest ranches who have special weeks for women, we sound pretty darn good, too.
"Latigo Guest Ranch, Kremmling, Colorado, June 3-9: During its Cowgirls and Working Women of the West, Latigo encourages guests to ride the Rockies, hone their horsemanship, meet new friends and spend time with genuine working women of the West who love to tell their stories about their lives as contemporary cowgirls."
You'll have to read the rest of the article here to see if Latigo is the best - but if you're reading this here, you probably already knew that.
