Summer has been a long time arriving this year, but now that the aspen are sporting tiny green leaves, a few dandelions are dotting the lawn, and our first guests of the season are enjoying all that Latigo has to offer, we can feel that summer has begun. The staff who have chosen (and been chosen) to spend the summer with us are delightful and very hard working. One enthusiastic and grateful young lady from Wisconsin told me that she sees her summer job with us as being a $40,000 vacation! Now, if she had joined us after the fencing repair work had been completed, I might have questioned her perspective, but she said this after she’d hiked down to the bottom of Cliffs Pasture to fix fence in The Hole. We like that attitude -- one of gratitude.
