2017 has been ushered in with drifts of new snow, ideal skiing conditions for our winter guests, delightful mornings by a crackling fire, and a complete restructuring of our job descriptions. Our business partners of 30 years, Jim and Kathie Yost, have decided to retire from guest ranch life.
Jim and Kathie have children on both sides of the country and will enjoy the freedom to travel to visit them and do other fun things that our tight ranch schedule prevented them from doing in the past. I’m sure they’ll miss things like taking the overnight pack trips and calling the square dances, but they’ll certainly savor the opportunity to sit on the deck of their beautiful home and soak in the summer sunsets. If you have a particularly fond memory of them, I’d encourage you to send it to them in a note. They treasure the relationships they’ve built with our ranch guests over the past 3 decades, and hearing from you would add some sweetness to the end of that season for them. Send your greetings and best wishes to Jim and Kathie Yost, P.O. Box 827, Kremmling, CO 80459.
Randy and I are buying out their share of Latigo ownership and are taking over their responsibilities. To keep from collapsing, we are shifting some of our previous responsibilities onto the shoulders of our very capable and talented adult children. Below you can see us on the front porch of the Lodge at the wedding of Spencer and Amanda on November 1st in some not-so-typical ranch attire.
